When Quick and Busy Attention Is a Gift

I was talking with a parent at the park drop-off, and off he ran as he often does with transitions into sessions. I could not quite make out what his destination was this time.

Lots of slush and an open field past the volleyball courts were all my eyes could see. And then I saw them. Spring’s first Canadian geese had arrived. Irresistible to this animal lover.

But I also want children to know that their wiring can bring gifts to the world around them.
